Although Solid Ground comes from a gathering of Christians from different faiths, we are currently tied to the Pentecostal Holiness Church, because we are the praise and worship band for New Hope Worship Center in Gaston, and most of our support has come from Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin. Our style of music fits their "charismatic" praise and worship. Solid Ground has come together because we believe that we are born sinners, and that we have all fallen short of the Grace of God, but by Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who was born by immaculate conception in the virgin womb and shed His blood for us on the cross so that our sins may be washed away, we are able to receive that blessing and one day soon rejoice in Heaven.
Solid Ground does not (as a group) claim to be one particular religion, nor do we deliberately show prejudice or discrimination against any religion. We love and welcome all of our brothers and sisters in Christ, regardless of faith, and just strive daily to be better Christians. For the people we encounter who have different beliefs, we know that God loves all mankind, and that He is our sole Creator. We provide a means of following the Word of God, and a means of actively praising our Lord and Savior. We support all Christians, but ultimately it is up to the individual to decide his or her relationship with God. We only provide a venue of fellowship with other Christians. We believe what the Bible tells us is true, and that it is our guide to be able to receive God's Grace in Heaven. We are sinners, so we ask God for forgiveness, sometimes on a daily basis, as well as ask for the strength to deny our temptations, because we know we cannot by ourselves.
